In order to best maintain our city services during the winter months and keep our downtown parking lots clear or snow, we ask downtown apartment tenants for cooperation as we enforce our snow parking requirements.
Overnight parking (between the horus of 2:00 AM - 5:00 AM) in the downtown North Municipal Parking Lot, South Municipal Parking Lot, and North Street CRC Parking Lot is available for tenants living in downtown Main Street and Elm Street apartments ONLY.
During the winter season (November 1 - March 31) we ask that all vehicles belonging to apartment tenants are rotated daily and parked in the designated snow parking areas as identified on the maps below. Vehicles that do not cooperate with the snow parking schedule may be ticketed or towed at the owner's expense. The reason for this coordinated overnight parking effort is so that the City's contracted snow plow team can best clear the parking lot to keep them safe for all users.
Tenants that cannot move their vehicle to the permitted overnight parking sections, due to extenuating circumstances, such as vacation or work travel, should notify the Zeeland Police Department (772.9125) to make arrangements for parking options. Failure to do so may result in towing of the vehicle. (Vehicles with handicap permits may parking in designated handicap spots and are exempt for this policy.)
If you identify a vehicle that is out of compliance and has not been moved in more than 24 hours, please contact the Zeeland Police Department (772.9125.)
We thank you for your cooperation!
